PREVIEW: “Blood Rider”
We haven’t seen this yet, but it caught our eye (and we will talk about it on Screen Comment very soon). From director Jon Kasbe (he previously directed “When lambs become lions”) comes this new drama about a motorcycle rider who transports that rarest of packages: blood. Amidst a blood shortage crisis and terrible traffic jams all day every day in Nigeria, it can take over twenty-four hours to transport blood to patients in critical need of it. Joseph, one of the city’s motorcycle “blood riders,” can deliver blood to hospitals in under an hour. For mothers in labor, people like Joseph help make a difference between life and death.
Everyone is invited to attend the film’s world premiere on Youtube on Monday. To watch “Blood Rider,” go to YouTube.com/WeAreOne
