Small and unexpected things can sometimes change your entire world.

Mordecai (Judd Hirsch) likes to fix things, but his phone is from twenty years ago and is held together with duct tape and tin foil. He’s worked his entire life as a plumber and a painter. But this is a story about the things he cannot fix, like getting older, the Alzheimer’s diagnosis of his wife Fela (Carol Kane), and his relationship with his son Marvin (Sean Astin).

The unexpected things happens when his son Marvin replaces his ancient phone with an iPhone. This act sets off a series of unexpected events and magically changes both Mordecai and the people closest to him. Mordecai becomes friends with the Einsteins, led by Nina (Azia Dinea Hale), who teach him to use his new iPhone, Mordecai becomes open to new experiences and perspectives.

Ultimately, through letting go, he begins to accept the things he cannot fix and turn the pain of his past into light. A journey that takes you through every human emotion, “iMordecai” teaches you that it’s never too late to discover the spark of inspiration.

Opens in select theaters in Los Angeles and New York this Friday.
