Ryan Coogler, who directed “Fruitvale Station” (REVIEW) and Michael B. Jordan, the lead actor from the same film  (“Friday Night Lights”), may be teaming up again soon to make a spin-of of “Rocky,” based on the Apollo Creed character and to be centered around the events that took place after “Rocky Balboa” (2006). Creed would therefore be the sequel to the “Rocky” saga. Jordan is to play Creed’s grandson (Creed was played by Carl Weathers). Sly Stallone is expected to be attached to the project as well.
