It’s been announced that Alice Braga, the Brazilian actor best known for her turn opposite Will Smith in 2007’s “I am legend,” and more recently in “The Rite,” has been cast to star in South African director Neill Blomkamp’s sci-fi epic “Elysium,” opposite Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and fellow Brasileiro Wagner Moura.

Little is known about “Elysium” except that it is the follow-up to Blomkamp’s “District 9.” Like its predecessor, “Elysium” will have strong socio-political content, the story will be happening in the future and humans will be confronted by alien creatures.
