Isn’t New York swell? The Film Society of Lincoln Center has just announced a Norman Jewison retrospective taking place May 25-30. Jewison is behind such quintessential American cinema like 1987’s ‘Moonstruck’ and 1973’s ‘Jesus Christ Superstar.’ The Statement, starring Michael Caine, came out in 2003.

The first major retrospective of Norman Jewison’s work in New York will feature appearances by Turner Classic Movies host Robert Osborne, Academy Award-winning composer André Previn, Academy Award nominee Meg Tilly, and veteran casting director Lynn Stalmaster to complete the lineup of guests set to join Jewison in special Q&As following several screenings of many of the director’s stellar film catalogue.

They will join previously announced appearances by Academy Award winners Olympia Dukakis and Lee Grant, lyricist Sheldon Harnick and Sony Pictures Classics Co-President and Co-Founder Michael Barker set to discuss several of the classic films helmed by the great director.
