THE MAN WITH IRON FISTS trailer released
A trailer for the Quentin Tarantino-produced “The Man with the Iron Fists” was just released. On the menu: sex, violence, Kung Fu, and ueber gore. No wonder Tarantino’s in charge. Wu-Tang honcho The RZA and Eli Roth (“Hostel”) co-wrote the screenplay, the RZA directed this film. “Fists” follows in the vein of the pure Hong Kong Kung Fu which Wu-Tang spent their musical career paying tribute to in songs.
“The man with the iron fists,” set in feudal-era China, is about an ironsmith who is selected to manufacture weapons for a small village, and who eventually will have to choose between fighting for his life or defending the village.
Cast includes The RZA, Russell Crow, Lucy Liu, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier (“Jacky Brown”) and Cung Le (“Tekken”). Universal Pictures, which has been shrouding the film in mystery, has only said “coming soon,” not giving a specific date for the theatrical release.
