No
In 1988 Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet is forced to call a plebiscite on his presidency owing to international pressure. The country will vote “yes” or “no” to Pinochet extending his rule for another eight years. Opposition leaders for the “No” persuade a brash young advertising executive, Rene Saavedra (played by Gael Garcia Bernal), to lead the campaign. Against all expectations, with scant resources and under scrutiny by the despot’s goons, Saavedra and his team devise an audacious plan to win the election and set Chile free.
(Sony Picture Classics). Directed by Pablo Larrain, written by Pedro Peirano. Starring Gael Garcia Bernal, Alfredo Castro, Antónia Zegers, Luis Dnecco, Marcial Tafle, Nastor Cantillana, Jaime Vadell and Pascal Montero (opens in February 2013).
